Pastor Ken Reports – October 11, 2019

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
John 27:20-21 (NLT)
There are some Biblical truths that are hard to wrap our minds around. Perfect, unselfish love, a being with no beginning, living eternally, and the Trinity are a few that make my head hurt to try to understand. However, just because it is hard to understand doesn’t mean we shouldn’t spend any time thinking about it.
This Sabbath we will tackle everything I mentioned above and more as I take on the Seventh-day Adventist fundamental belief regarding the Trinity. In the process we will also cover the fundamental beliefs of The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit, Unity in the Body of Christ, and Marriage and the Family. Yes, it is a lot of ground to cover, however the doctrine of the Trinity is the central point that connects each of the doctrines listed. Together we will discover that God is an example to us of how connected, unselfish, relationship is at the heart of His kingdom.
If you would like to get a head start, I’ve put links below to each of the fundamental beliefs we will be covering this Sabbath.
ONE BIG THING
SAVE THE DATE!
OUR FATHER’S HOUSE
Our church renovation will create greater physical accessibility, visual accessibility, and accessibility in worship. There are a number of ways you can make a difference. If you are interested in supporting the renovation and improving accessibility here are four things you can do.
  1. You can make a one-time donation by clicking on the button below or putting money in a tithe envelope marked for the church renovation.
  2. You can pick up a pledge card in our church lobbies and prayerfully make a commitment to give a specific amount every month for up to 3 years. Pledge cards can be turned in when the offering is collected or turned into our church treasurer or any of the pastors.
  3. You can pick up a gift card at the church office and make a donation in honor of someone you care about.
  4. You can pray that God provides the resources to make our church fully accessible for His glory.

Tithe & Offering
Tithe is the 10% of our increase that we give to God to support His work in this world. These monies are used to pay pastors, evangelists, chaplains, Bible workers, and missionaries. It also pays for the salaries of those who provide support for those people and for expenses that help support evangelism. We are behind where we were last year at this time in our tithe giving. Through the end of July, Madison Campus has returned $946,747.96 compared to last year’s $1,052,274.10.
Monies donated to church budget are to be given in addition to tithe. Our church budget funds ministry in our community such as Madison Campus Elementary, Madison Academy, Pathfinders, Adventurers, our annual Block Party, our music ministries, Adventist Community Services (the 403 Center), Bags of Love, Celebrate Recovery, and Adventist literature that can be distributed. It also pays for the upkeep and utilities for our church facility and our church administrator. Thank you for your generosity that has put our budget ahead of where we were at this time last year and helps us do ministry and keep our church open.
Church Budget Received 9/28: $ 3,678
Month to Date: $24,164
Needed Monthly: $53,200
To return tithe or give offerings click on the button below or use the tithe envelopes in back of the church pews.
