Pastor Ken Reports – December 20, 2019

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
A baby changes everything. I thought I understood what that meant until we had our first child. People talked to me about sleep deprivation, changing diapers, the love you feel when you look at your child and a host of other things so I thought that while I might not know everything I had a pretty good handle on what being a parent would be like. Wrong.
As I held Kyla and later Eric in my arms my world was forever changed. They changed how I slept. When I ate. What I ate. I saw danger where I had never seen it before. I felt a love I had never experienced. While there are hardships, I wouldn’t ever give up my kids. They have made my life richer and made me a better person. A baby changes everything.
A baby changed everything. If you have experienced Jesus, you know what I mean. If you haven’t, I invite you this Christmas to come and experience the life changing baby Jesus. He is wonderful. He gives life purpose and direction. His power transforms us into something better. The life He gives is everlasting and that everlasting life is filled with His peace.
I invite you this Sabbath to join your Madison Campus family for a special Christmas service. Oh come, let us adore Him!
You do not want to miss our church’s annual Christmas concert. The musicians in our church led by Madison Campus minister of music, Daniel Bondaczuk have put together a fantastic concert you will want to invite everyone you know to attend. This year’s concert is called The Light of Christmas. The program will begin at 5:00 pm on December 21, in the Sanctuary at Madison Campus Church.
We are about $200,000 away from fully funding our first priority renovations which includes our improvements for those with disabilities. We would love to also fully fund our second priority renovations which would require an additional $1 million. Some of the second priority renovations include extending our platform to accommodate a full orchestra, renovating the lower kitchen, recarpeting and painting all our adult Sabbath schools, putting new paint, carpet, and blinds in our fellowship hall, and doing renovation work in our children’s Sabbath schools.
Our official fundraising campaign ends on December 31. I am so grateful for the generosity I have seen displayed by this church during this campaign and I am excited to see how God will work in the next 11 days.
