Recovery? Who in our Madison Campus SDA church needs recovery?
Don’t we have the “truth” and the promise that the truth will set us free?
So, why the need for something called Celebrate Recovery?
Have you heard this question? I guess we could call it by some other name. Like — Reach Out and Help Each Other Grow; help each other heal from life’s injuries, past and present. But Celebrate Recovery is just what it indicates. We all have need of letting God “heal” us and it is an amazing development to celebrate. The Bible clearly states "all have sinned."  It is our nature to sin.  None of us is untainted.  Because of sin, we've all hurt ourselves, we've all hurt other people, and others have hurt us.  This means each of us need repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended. What we need is a biblical and balanced program to help people overcome their hurts, habits and hang-ups.
Celebrate Recovery is that program. Based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory, our recovery program is unique, and most effective in helping people change and grow into full Christ like maturity. The Celebrate Recovery (based on eight principles from the Beatitudes) was launched fourteen years ago and has been responsible for thousands of new church members. Celebrate Recovery attracts the un-churched and helps them develop into spiritual maturity.
This program is not clinical advice or members attempting to fix one another. Rather, it is group ministry offering a safe haven environment where people can share and heal from hurts, habits and hang-ups. A ministry that helps people become passionate believers in God. How can we do this? Pastor Lynn has been presenting our church mission plan using a baseball diamond model. Each base is important—love to God, love to others—and to get from base to base, we grow and build on the previous one. This nurtures us into becoming a dedicated Christian church family with arms open to the community outside our walls.
Nine Madison Campus members have received leadership training and additional members have been studying with them in preparation for this coming ministry. Through the application of Bible principles, growth is seen and freedom from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors is experienced thus helping hurting people discover a personal, loving and forgiving power in Jesus Christ.
The Word encourages us in Galatians 6:2 to bear one another’s burdens. What a spiritually rewarding way to do just that.   We invite you to come join us and bring a friend. This is a program where we walk beside people in need while deepening our own spiritual walk.
For more information, call Pastor Julie Vega at 345-6186.

Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday at 6:30 PM in the Madison Campus Church Fellowship Hall.  There is a fellowship meal with get acquainted time, followed by a worship and testimony period. Separation into small groups will then focus on different areas of needs.
